Canopy Walkway Chiang Mai

The Canopy Walkway in Chiang Mai is one of the city’s newest, most thrilling activities.

Located within the beautiful Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens in Mae Rim, the impressive facilities at the walkway are designed to take your breath away as you stand above the forest canopy with some of the best views of the mountains.

Canopy Walkway Chiang Mai, Rainforest Walk Prices, Address & Hours

It is recognised as Thailand’s longest suspended path, so you should come for a visit. As the newest addition to the Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens, the walkways stand 20 meters high above the gardens and is almost 400 meters long. If you’re brave enough, check out the glass floor areas that are made of fibreglass, which are transparent at the bottom. It makes for cool photos – that is, if you aren’t afraid of heights!

The structures also feature raised viewing decks where you can take in the views of the lush Mae Rim jungles, found north of Chiang Mai. But even if you’re at ground level, there is so much to see and experience here. Keep your eye out for the many colourful tropical flower species such as lotuses, orchids, and bromeliads; most of which can only thrive at this altitude.

One of the most exciting places to visit here is the rainforest house, where numerous rare plants are kept. From here, you can also take a stroll through areas of the forest and a beautiful small waterfall. Before you leave, spend some time at the impressive resort, gift shop, and cafe, which is housed in a remarkable fibreglass structure set amongst the gardens. An ATM is also available on-site.

The Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens and the walkway are open daily from 8:30am to 5pm, with visitors are required to pay a small entrance fee.
