The Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre is a museum which teaches visitors about Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant art scene.
The centre is located in the centre of the old city, right behind the Three Kings Monument and is one of the only places that has information posted in English.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by Thai people in traditional dress who will usher you in to watch a quick film about the history of Chiang Mai. After the film, you can tour the museum at your leisure as you learn more about the region’s history, the royal family, war with the Burmese as well as exhibitions on Buddhism and cultural beliefs.
Visitors will also gain insight into agricultural practices of Thai people and the hill tribes. You will be able to view photographs, models and video footage with signage in both Thai and English. Some exhibitions also outline plants for Chiang Mai’s future.
