You can purchase just about anything from the vendors: knock off designer goods, jewellery, gadgets, luggage, makeup, scarves, clothing, shoes as well as local produce, all at very competitive prices. This is the place to bargain, as the first price is rarely the best price, so make use of your negotiation skills to get a great deal! A good rule of thumb is to negotiate around 30% off their first price.
There are a number of food vendors located along here where you can get a fresh juice or a tasty snack and there are heaps of places to stop and catch your breath for a sit-down meal or a cold drink.
If coming to the market by red truck (songthaew) or tuk-tuk, simply ask the driver to take you to the Night Bazaar. They will know where it is. Otherwise, you can ask them to take you to the Le Meridien Hotel which is located right in the heart of the market. A red truck should only cost 20 THB (per person) and a tuk-tuk 100 THB (per ride) from Tha Phae gate. Otherwise, you can take a scooter and park anywhere nearby as the roads remain open. If walking, the trip from Tha Phae Gate is only a short 1km.
