Chiang Mai University Art Museum, CMU Open Hours & Admission Price

The Chiang Mai University Art Museum (CMU Art Museum) opened in 1998 and has an ever-evolving display of art and exhibitions and updates their artworks regularly. The art centre complex consists of 3 buildings; an exhibition building, a theatre building and office building.

The artworks displayed here come from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the university which gives students an opportunity to display their works in a public forum. The CMU Art Museum also displays works from contemporary Thai artists and also screens foreign films and also has a centre for the preservation of Thai art and culture. Each year, the museum organises an art festival which draws thousands of visitors each year.

Visitors are welcome to tour the museum between Tuesdays and Sundays, however, please note that photography of the artworks is not permitted.
