Elephant Rescue Park

Elephant Rescue Park is one of the best animal encounter experiences in northern Thailand.

They offer an incredible environment where elephants can roam freely in their natural habitat, while humans can interact with and learn how to care for them.

Elephant Rescue Park, Full & Half Day Tour Price, Chiang Mai Thailand

Elephants have been traditionally used as beasts of burden in Thailand for several centuries. They are exposed to suffering, hard labour, and often cruel treatments from humans. It is an unfortunate fact that the inhumane treatment of elephants is still commonplace in many parts of the country. The park was established to serve as a sanctuary for abused rescued elephants, providing a loving home and a safe environment for them to live the rest of their lives.

Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy one-on-one interactions with these amazing creatures. Spend some time with a mahout, who serves as a guardian for the elephant. You can take walks with them amongst the hills, bathe them and play with them, and feed them. Depending on what you’re interested in, Elephant Rescue Park offers a range of packages to choose from. All guests are also invited to have a homemade Thai meal with the staff of the park.

Should you wish to help care for the elephants long after you leave the country, you can do so through donations, which will go a long way in ensuring the health and happiness of the rescued elephants.

Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, or with groups, the park can cater to your needs. All bookings are inclusive of accident insurance. Half-day and full-day packages are available, as well as overnight and volunteer activities.

This activity is highly recommended for animal lovers, as well as anyone who wants to help care for Thailand’s most well-loved creatures.
