A friendly mahout (a person in charge of tending to elephants) will guide you and make the experience as delightful as possible while imparting valuable knowledge about the life of elephants.
The visit is enjoyable from start to finish. Noi, the founder of the Elephant Retirement Park, ensures that each guest is well looked after. All bookings are already inclusive of transportation, an experienced English-speaking guide, drinking water, lunch, insurance, photography, and a mahout training course. They will also provide you with sugar cane and bananas to feed these majestic animals. There are half-day, full-day, overnight, and even seven-day volunteer packages available, as well as some exciting programs that are combined with a thrilling ATV ride.
During your visit, it is advisable to wear swimming trunks or your swimsuit underneath your clothing. Expect to get wet, because you will be bathing for elephants in the river. Flip flops or all-terrain shoes are the best choices for footwear. Don’t forget sun protection, a change of clothes, and a towel.
It’s important to know that this is a highly ethical and sustainable destination for authentic animal encounters. There are no elephant rides here, nor are they forced to entertain visitors. Here, you won’t find any choreography; just a fulfilling and rewarding experience for both human and animal alike.
