Into The Wild Elephant Camp Full & Half Day Tour Price, Chiang Mai
As part of their sustainable tourism efforts, the camp only employs locals, who come from the Karen hill tribe community. All supplies and clothing are provided to the villages found nearby the camp. In doing so, the local community benefits from the camp and is included in all the good that is being practised.
The camp offers fun and exciting one-day itineraries to meet the elephants in their habitat. The tours start with a pickup between 8 and 8:30am, and end with a drop off to the hotel at around 5:30pm. It entails driving an hour and a half to the Into The Wild Elephant Camp, located south of Chiang Mai’s city centre.
All guests are then taken to a short tour of the local market, followed by an orientation of the elephants. You’ll learn how to make food for them, then walk with them in the jungle. A whole afternoon of playing, feeding, and bathing the elephants – what more could you ask for? The trip ends with a mud spa bath with the elephants, so be sure to bring your swimsuit and a change of clothes.
