Mae Klang Waterfall, Doi Inthanon Entrance Fee & Locations, Chiang Mai

The water at the falls flows all year round, but just like with others, the best time to visit is during the rainy season. This way, the pools are deeper, and you get to enjoy swimming and relaxing along the banks. Take note that it does get hectic during weekends, so you may want to schedule a trip here during the week instead.

The impressive cascades are around 30 meters high. Along the way to the falls, there are a few vendors selling food and drinks that will be good for a day out picnicking. A small kiosk selling souvenirs is also found here. There will be a small admission fee to get into the Doi Inthanon National Park, but it is already inclusive of the entrance fee for the falls.

While you’re here, it’s an excellent opportunity to see other nearby attractions. These include checking out the Doi Inthanon Summit and the Naphamethanidon & Naphapholphumisiri chedis.

For a stress-free out in nature while visiting the Mae Klang Waterfall, make sure to bring a camera with fully-charged batteries. Wear the appropriate shoes and bring a change of clothes whether you plan to swim or not because it can get hot and humid inside the national park.

To get here from Chiang Mai, go on route 108 which is headed for Chomthong. Once you reach kilometre 57, go right on route 1009 which is Chomthong-Doi Inthanon Road. It will be the first waterfall you will see on the road.
