This quiet retreat is an excellent place to unwind and simply reflect on life. The sprawling 20 acres of verdant vegetation, alongside the gazebos that dot the landscape make for a superb destination. On location, you will see a meditation hall, a well-manicured meditation garden and the background of lush rice paddies.
The fun bit about these meditation sessions is that they are tailor-made to each person individually. What’s more, there is ready accommodation at the temple, so you need not shuttle back and forth for the sessions. The modern accommodation offers you a home away from home so that you can focus on your sessions. Meals are provided, as are simple rooms with electricity and a fan.
The dress code consists of loose white clothes, long pants, minimum revealed skin and sandals. Speaking is not forbidden, but must be kept to a minimum.
You can get to Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong by a blue songthaew which travel on direct routs south to Lamphun. The pickup point is typically the Iron Bridge (Ping River), South Gate, or Chang Puak bus station.
