Chang Phueak is a sub-district (tambon) of Mueang Chiang Mai District and is located north of the old city and contains 5 villages.

Covering a large area, you will find a number of landmarks and popular locations within this sub-district including temples, shopping malls and golf courses.

Chang Phueak is home to one of the most modern shopping malls in Chiang Mai known as Maya Lifestyle Mall. Maya has many stores selling clothing, electrical and accessories and also has phone repair shops, banks, money changer, massage services, pharmacies and an AIS phone SIM card store.

You will find a Rimping Supermarket on the ground level selling a huge range of Thai and Western grocery items. Level 4 is home to a huge range of restaurants selling Thai favourites as well as Japanese, Vietnamese, a KFC, Chesters, Jeffers and dessert stalls.

Head up to level 5 where you will find an SFX Cinema with state of the art cinemas showing all the latest blockbusters. There is also a large workspace on this level known as CAMP which has super-fast Wi-fi and comfortable seating. On level 6, you can access the rooftop bars where you can relax and enjoy a drink in the evening.

Head further north up to Lanna Golf Course which isa 27 hole, par 36 course. The course also offers a pool, tennis courts and horse riding for its visitors. There is a restaurant on site which serves traditional Thai and western dishes.

Chang Phuaek is also home to Wat Ched Yot, a large traditional temple as well as the Chiang Mai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 700 Year Stadium Sports Complex also sits on the border of Chang Phueak to the north.
